Vitae Drummers

Focusing on traditional West African music, using hand drums such as the Djembe & Dun Dun with African songs and dances, Hartbeats provides workshops & performances for a wide range of events and organisations:
  • Educational workshops for schools, colleges, universities and youth groups.
  • Team building and stress relief workshops using African drumming.
  • African Drumming tasters as a fun activity at an event or conference.
  • ‘The Vitae Drummers’ African Drum and Dance Ensemble
  • Evening classes for the complete beginners to experienced drummer.
  • One to one sessions.

The overall aim of our drumming workshops is to have fun and enable people to experience a feeling of unity and camaraderie by working together. The sessions will boost the energy and receptivity of the participants, along with enhancing listening and team building skills.

Traditional African drums and other instruments are provided and participants do not require prior knowledge of drumming or musical skills.

Although Hartbeats mainly covers Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire we can also provide workshops across South East England by arrangement.
